I notice Silverstone OPC is currently offering a 991 GT3 at 20k above list. It has been rengined and is ready to go. I thought OPC's were not meant to sell cars above list price. Have I got this wrong?

As I understand it, no they can't on new, factory supplied vehicles.

But, if they have repurchased it from a customer or elsewhere, then they can ask what they like.

I have grown tired of pouring money into that black hole known as old house refurbishment so yes the itch is growing stronger and probably needs scratching. I have had lots of fun day dreaming about alternatives Mclaren 650, 458, Vanquish but when it comes to the crunch Porsche still looks the best value and fun per pound. The new Cayman GTS has to be a serious contender in terms of fun per pound but a 991 GT3 looks great up against a 458. The trouble is Porsche won't sell me a G T 3 so round and round I go. Jans SL has been reliable but the only way to get excited when driving it is to take Viagra. Perhaps I should wait for a GT2 RS
