OPC paint repairs

hi guys , bit of advice please ?

during a service at the OPC i asked if i could get a quote for my gen 1 997 in speed yellow to have a bumper scuff repaired , firstly they seem to charge 2x any other quote but more worryingly they said they might not be able to match the paint ? i've since picked up a front wing dent/scrape (supermarket car parks!) and i'd like to get them both repaired at the same time ?

the reson i went to the OPC was i wanted the best for my car but now i have a seed of doubt planted ? why should i pay twice as much for a job that offers nothing over any other paint shop ?

so , who would you all recommend in the cambridge/newmarket/bury st edmunds area?

thanks in advance

Russ

BarrTech did a very good job on mine after the front wing got smashed. That was all paid for by insurance though, so I can't really comment on the price.

thanks , got your mail kasspa

i'd forgotten about barrtech , never used them but they sound good?

I can give you details of the guys I used for the bare metal respray on my 72 and a few other of my cars before that.

They're based in Sutton five miles from Ely.

You'll get honest advices especially if you're concerned about colour matching.

The painter there is awesome

I've just had my whole 993 done in Sleaford at AW Repair Group, they are fully Porsche approved can paint match as well as carry out bumper repairs, I had a brick rash scuff on mine! give them a call and tell them you read it on the forum.
