OPC Waranty

I have an 03 996 C2 and have a conundrum. I have a rattle which only comes when the car is warm you can only hear it when driving over bumpy ground at slow speeds and seems to be coming from the front rhs. There is no unusual tyre wear.
Any ideas would be useful however my main point is that I was going to book it into my local OPC but they want to charge £99 plus vat for a hours work to investigate, and I'm thinking thius may turn into a few hours work.
It may be something or nothing and it may or may not be covered by my extended warranty. I'm wondering if I should try a specialist to find out what the problem is before deciding what to do. I spoke to one who was not really interested and suggested that there may be problems later with warranty claims if a specialist works on the car even on a non warranted item or on steering or suspension items where the definition of whats included is a bit vague.

Any ideas welcome

Hey Les
I do not know if this helps but I had something similar but coming from the rear rhs.
OPC Reading found out that some bolts have sheared off, somewhere between exhaust and heat shield.
Although not covered by extended guarantee, but because I had a major 48k service with them and missed it, we agreed to go halves on the repairs.
Your specialist should be able to identify your problem and you could contact your OPC to check if you are covered.
It sounds like that your "specialist" cannot be bothered if he is not going to carry out the repairs.
Change specialist.
Goog luck.

It's probably a worn front suspension bush - there was another thread about this about a month ago.
