OPC Winter Check. 25 Nov 2017

The guys at Teesside have come up trumps again, they have offered us the opportunity of a free winter check before some of us put our cars away or start to prepare them for the winter months.

It will operate in the same format as before, first come first served with a max of 12 places because of time constraints on a Saturday morning.

You will be required to pre-register your place and a time will be allocated between 9.am-12.30pm to get your car onto a ramp and chat with a technician regarding any concerns or advise you may require.

Tim tells us he is planning bacon sarnies and buckets full of coffee, and with 4 techs and 5 ramps primed and ready to go I envisage space will fill up fast, may even be a great chance to get a few Christmas ideas from their Driver Selection items or just meet up for a brew and chat to the staff and other members.

Hi Greg,

Do we need to register with you or Teesside? If it’s you can I put my name down please.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Greg

If space permits I would love to take advantage, however I was on the ramps earlier this year and would rather wait to see if anyone else would like to go first.

I will join you all anyway for coffee & bacon sarnies as I've missed the last couple of club nights due to work commitments.

Thanks

Julian

Morning guys you are the first to register, well done for keeping an eye on the forum.

Please put me on the list.

It will be interesting to see how long a list they come up with. [:)]

It was great to see so many friendly faces at the club last night. We're really pleased how many of you are keen to get down on 25th.

Please feel free to come along even if you don't get your car on the ramps this time, its always a fantastic buzz when R3 are in the Centre.

I look forward to welcoming you all then.

Tim

Hi Greg,

Pop me down for that as well please. Not been to Teeside benforce, so be interested to have a look round.

David.

Hi Greg,

Really sorry I am not going to be able to make Porsche Teesside on Saturday 25th. I hope someone can fill my place.

Kind regards

Mark

My car was on the ramps the last time and having just passed its MOT last week I suspect (hope) it does not need another inspection.

Hope to pop down on Saturday morning though and join in the fun.

What is the plan on Saturday?

Are we arriving at a particular time or in time for our allocated slot?

Meet from 9am those who turn up early tend to be some of the first to get in, so anyone who has plans for later may want to get there around then. If you are not to bothered just turn up and enjoy a tyre kick with a coffee in great surroundings until the next slot becomes available. Exact timings are difficult as some cars are in and out in minutes others a while longer depending on how much time you would like to spend with the technician (& their findings!).

Please note we do now have a couple of places available due to two late cancellations so act quick if you want to join in.

Would also like to thank & praise everyone at Porsche Teesside.

My Boxster was not on the ramps but I had a few minor queries with my car which are now sorted.

I had a issue with my new Nokia 3 phone not downloading the phonebook to the car (long story) so Jan Joubert investigated and came to the conclusion it was not the Boxster software but my phone's software.

With that knowledge, I called into Tesco tonight and the lad there sorted it out by downloading an app to the phone so that the phone now communicates to the Boxster in full.

Jan also sorted out my dashboard vent, many thanks.

And thank you to everyone at Porsche Teesside for a great morning.
