Hi All

I've owned a Turbo S for all of 3 days, and totally smitten. I want to see what it can do away from the public roads. I saw a Mr JWW VMAX event a few years ago on YouTube. A hired runway and people getting their cars to the top speed in a straight line. Anyone know if these events still run or something similar? Thanks!

Hi and welcome, you might try a day with CAT Driver Training as they have a great variety of experiences at the UTAC (formerly Millbrook) proving grounds. This will give you the opportunity to really understand the TurboS and it's capabilities especially as the car is new to you. The Club sometimes have exclusive days with them, so ask Jo Hoade at CAT.

As far as I'm aware the only regular V-Max type events that take place on runways nowadays are at Elvington.

eg. See => https://www.carevents.com/uk/events/full-throttle-weekend/

Santa Pod do a 'run-what-you-brung' thing but the straight is much shorter and more designed to time 0-..... rather than top speeds.

Millbrook has a mile long straight which allows high speeds to be attained but as part of a course you normally only get to do one or two runs.
