Opening key head

I must be really dumb. I've got a nice new key head to replace my very worn one.

How do I actually open them? On the opposite edge from the light is a 1.5x4mm block of plastic that might be a catch. But a reasonable amount of pushing does not move it.

Any clues?

HI if yo have the same key head that I have there is a slot on the bottom (light up-facing away from you--if you insert a small screwdriver you can then prise the head apart. This will expose the battery and the spring mechanism that holds the key blade in. if you ar junking the old head then you can just pull the pieces of the old spring mechanism out--remove the key blade and then push into the new head.

If you want to keep the old head then you will need to slide the plunger on the end of the spring back--best don with the head flat on a table and then pushing the piston back with a sharpish object and then pulling out the blade.

Thsi will all be self explanitory when you have separated the halves of the head.

Hope this helps.
