optimistic price for an S2

Theyre 'car dealers', so its par for the course. Notice the damaged seats which theyve tried to not show and which arent mentioned in the description?

Citikars are Saab specialists. That car has been tarted up a bit with the wheels, body coloured spoiler and cill covers. The cills could be shot behind the covers. Someone will buy it though, thinking he has "peace of mind" from a dealer

I've seen worse adverts!

It might be in okay condition, and if so if they can get their asking price that's great. I'd rather 944s started going for more than less.

Plus the sills are 968 items which whilst not to my taste don't seem such a bad mod for a 944.

I'd give it the benefit of the doubt until inspected by somebody in the know, although I'd love to know whether it's recent
or ancient service history that it's missing.

I don't get this post, people are always saying that the 944 is undervalued but still keep talking the values down. you can't have it both ways, you can't have a car that should be worth £5000 in anyones money but you would only pay £3000. If everyone would only pay £3000, that is going to be the value of the car.Prices only rise when people are prepaired to pay more, why be concerned about an advert unless you are going to buy it yourself, when buying a vehical eveyone should take care but let's not keep talking the prices down.if a tatty car sells for this money then the market will soon realise that our pampered cars are worth a lot more.

It's certainly a lot of money considering people are bizarrely struggling to sell cars like this one I was about to go and view before what I now have came up for sale!

That said, I have never been particularly bothered about what my cars have been worth unless I have been wanting to sell them - I intend for my 944 to (hopefully) be that last car I buy!

I couldnt agree more..
Well said that man...

Thats what I'd expect to pay for a good S2, but whether that is a good one or not is impossible to say until you've seen it in the flesh. The description sounds good, the pictures look good but until you see it and inspect the recent maintenance its an unknown quantity.

I've seen a few cars with the 968 side trims over the years, it's a recognised mod so not necessarily hiding bad sills, and looking inside the door jam vent should confirm it or not

Why would a garage specialising in SAAB risk there reputation by selling a 944?

Tempted to say but without seening it they must be confident enough in it if they have put it on sale?

Interestingly there is a previously sold one on their site maybe someone has good taste in German sportscars

Not necessarily. The lettering can go dull with age, hence causing people to replace them. Mileage I could go on about but we'll let that rest.

Remember that these cars are now 20 years old, and for the age are lasting well (how many other 20 year old cars could last this well not so long ago...?).

Here here Pegasus' statement! It seems to happen on most forums though TBH. On the last car that I owned, a certain member used to slander other people's car as overpriced comparing them to his 'minters' which sold for much less (I use minters in inverted commas as if I am being honest, he was being rather generous with his descriptions!)
