Hi All, my first posted question on here, hoping someone can help?

I'm looking for a definative answer for an option code that features on my cars build sticker - 040. I have found varying answers, from 'stabilizing bars for performance' to 'bridgestone tyres'. Can anyone shed any light?

Codes displayed on sticker are;

L999 GZ
C16
040
373
374
602
740
000111

Thanks
James

Thanks for the link Dougie. I've come across this list during my searches but it doesn't feature code 040...

I see from a search that you have been asking this question on another forum since 2009 James! I guess if Porsche themselves don't know the answer it seems a bit unlikely anyone here will - although there may be a few beardies around.................[:D] I wonder if it was an error - could they do such a thing?

Thanks for having a look for me guys [:D] I know I posed the question a few years ago and was left none the wiser!

Just had back from my local friendly OPC a list in german of the specifics for my car according to the VIN.....and....it turns out to be REIFENFABRIKAT BRIDGESTONE. So Bridgestone tyres, goes to show the option codes seam to mean different things for different types of Porsche

So it appears you got a choice of tyres back in the 993 days then? Certainly not the case now![:(]
