Checked with a couple of guys I know...

option code 239 - 18 inch wheels "Generic"
option code 413 - 18" Turbo look wheels

I have option 476 which is Traction Control. Also shown as Brake pad with abrasive pad. Any ideas on what this is ?? Is it an idication of how traction control works ??

Peter

697 Porsche CDR-23 audio

476 to my knowledge, brake pad with abrasive pad or traction control, i'll try some people who might know the definitive answer... it's been used more than once by Porsche similar to 472 which on 911's was used for both additional rear apron and turbo with standard chassis 1980

476 is traction control AND brake pad with abrasive pad. Does this suggest that traction control used some additional brake pads to brake wheels to corect spin ??

Hi GWLS

Yes the car does have 18" Turbo Look Wheels, so option 239 & 413 is confusing on my car then...........

Mark

MW,

What can I say they have but both in just to make doubly sure, as least they match the wheels you have!!

Peter,

Spoke to a few people and correct!! Apparently Porsche use a MORE abrasive pad when the car is specified with Traction control, go figure... more damn brake dust then I guess!

Gary

Guys the option code 476 is for PSM (Porsche Stability Management) the earlier less effective traction control system has the code 222 & 224 for the ABD that was included in the Uk traction package.
