Option Codes

Can anyone explain to me how to find out what the optional equipment codes stand for in the Guarantee & Maintenance booklet?
I have tried the Porsche website and can only match one i.e. "XSC" stands for Porsche crest on seats.
Apart from that none of the codes match anything else on the website despite the fact that I know some of the options on the car exist but the codes do not match.
Many thanks

Try phoning Porsche HQ & ask for the warranty department (0118-930-3666). If you have your chassis number ready to verify it is a UK car, they should be able to help you
with your codes, I think some of the confusion comes in because some equipment that is standard on UK cars is still listed under the otions codes (e.g. top tint, full leather, aircon etc etc)

Having recently faced the same confusion, I can confirm advice from Grant.
I wrote to Porsche GB when registering change of ownership and they kindly sent a printout " Vehicle Master Enquiry" which has text descriptions of the options fitted to the car when supplied new

I was at my friendly Independent today, and got these from the PET:

665 - PCM2 basic module including radio
670 - PCM2 navigation

226 and 554 aren't listed.

You sometimes find that they put two M numbers for the same option when they are "handed". I have heated seats on mine, and the option numbers are 139 and 340, for the left and right hand seats. That might explain the missing codes.

M226 - The mystery code!!
M375 - Sport seat backrest shell R
M376 - Sport seat backrest shell L
M411 - 18" Carrera Wheels
M476 - PSM
M650 - Electric Sunroof
M680 - (02-) Sound System, Bose Analog
M936 - Seat Covers Rear, Leather
M981 - Leather Equipment without seat covers
M983 - Seat covers, front, leather

Many Thanks for the help.

226 could perhaps be alcantara roof lining or cd storage, if thats an option as everything else ties up with what is on the car.

I think you'll find that alcantara was standard for the roof lining for MY2003. M226 is a code that loads of people have (including myself) but nobody seems to know what it is.

OK all, I have the answer to the mystery code 234!!! TA DA!...........

Ready.....................................Code 234 is.................. "cd storage"

How about that then! :)

Cheers
Nick
