Thanks Richard that's 2 ticked off the list......
I bet 09991 is chrome plated seat runners or something totally useless anyway.

According to Loren on Renntech.org:

"09991 - Exclusive Program likely means that one or more items on the car came from the Exclusive list (one or more codes starting with "X")."

Another interpretation from "Tool Pants" on Renntech:

"The salesperson at my dealer calls this special instructions. You may have wanted a certain part to be covered in leather or stiched with a certain color thread. It is not really an option code."

226 is listed on most 996 "Option Stickers" but I don't believe anyone really knows for sure what it is except the guys on the production line. Maybe it's some kind of perverse Porsche joke, and the guys at Stuttgart are all looking at threads like this and laughing their socks off. It certainly isn't listed by Kindel, Streather, or even on the Porsche PET. I guess we'll never know......

Chrome plated seat runners - that sounds NICE! [:D]

Richard,

Thanks a lot, good use of varied sources there! I hope we added to their laugh.
I guess I'll have to look around the car to see what special request was made....I hope it wasn't for a Trabant engine to be used instead of the original! [:D]
