Origin B2 Advice

As a 996 newbie (and to PCGB) has anyone got an Origin B2 fitted in their 996? I have a 996 C4 with PCM and need to know where best to fit my "licence insurance" device!

Any advice appreciated!

Hi I had a similar dilemma when installing. I have put the B2 to the left of the steering column. I wanted a fairly discreet location, be able to remove it easily, and check it at a glance. You need to be careful as if not placed correctly the display will be obscured by the steering wheel (i cant see the red flashing lights as an example, but the deafening warning bleep makes up for that!). As for the wires I was able to thread them into the gap in the center console, then around the back to the passenger footwell and under the passenger footmat. Laser detector was easily thread into the gap between roof and windscreen. Satellite receiver is on the rear shelf. All in all took about 1 hour to install, but looks perfect.

If you want to hard wire it in, where's the best place to pick up switched power. The cigarette lighter is powered all the time.

This is where I put mine. Not terribly elegant, but practical. I wired it (and the phone) into the radio feed, as it stays on until the key is removed from the ignition. I found that the cigar lighter went off with the ignition.
