Hi, just thought i'd show you the simple fitting of this.

No messy wires & is powered by the cigarette lighter.

Works well too.

Yes, they are extremely good and highly recommended. It's saved me many times.

I have the previous model but I hard wired it. It sits to the right of my dash pod.

Could you let me know how you hardwired your origin?? I have a snooper s4 neo which would like to hard wire but not a clue how to do it.

Any tips?

Thanks

Beno

I took power from the radio/CD power lines, placed a 2amp inline fuse in the lead and fed it through the dash and up through the back of my dash pod. Easy, just time consuming. Takes about maybe an hour.
If you need more detailed help let me know.

Where exactly have you put the wires?

And is the plug in the cigerette lighter the one supplied with the B2? (It's quite a nice compact neat one).

Beno,

thinking of doing the same for my S6. Am also going to stick my LRD by front air duct as I hate the wires all over the dash.

OK, you have two issues:
1) how to find a power feed and were to put the wires.
2) Where to locate the GPS head.

I discarded the cig lighter and used my own similar guage two core wire (ie. two wires one for +ve one for -ve).
If you pull out your radio/CD and disconnect the ISO plug you can tap into the power source. I replaced my
CDR220 yonks ago but my Blaupunkt head uses the same plug. I have attached a pic of the back of the CDR220 FYI.
Socket A pin 7 is what you will use for +ve. This is switched so that it won't be live until your ignistion is on.
Ping 8 is ground and is used for the -ve.

In the line that goes to pin 7 (+ve) ensure you put an inline fuse into your new wiring circuit. If your B2 blows up
you will save your car igniting at the same time!

I fed this wire (the two core) through the back of the dash and along up into the area behind the dash pod. The dash
pos is the batwing thing that contains the speedo/tacho etc etc. I assume you know how to take this off?
It's a 5 minute job. But aske me if you get stuck.

The wire (power source to the Bluei) then pops out behind and to the right of the dash pod. I have some velcro
on the dash so the bluei sits on the velcro and the wires plug into it. I can take it out the car in seconds.

I placed the GPS head (using velcro again) directly behind the flashing alarm LED on the center of the dash. The wire
is fed into the dash pod areas and out behind the pod and to the right. So basically the two wires (power and GPS)
come out together by the velcro.

Viola!

Good bit of kit ! I tried to trigger the laser detector with one of those laser pens but it appears only to work with infra-red. Being unable to test it, I couldn't tell if it was functioning correctly however on a trip to Heathrow, it started going berserk every few minutes. There must be some sort of surveillance system in use at junctions [8|]
