Original leather seat colours?

As above what was the colour of the original leather seat in the 944?

I have just been going over a small portion of my seat with Gliptone Leather cleaner with it being softly agitated with a nail brush. In previous cars this has worked a treat in keeping the leather supple and looking great. In this case I'm worried I took off a little of the colour. The test portion has gone a little whiter, but it definately looks miles cleaner. So I'm wondering if Gliptone doesn't work with Porsche seats, if my method is wrong or if my seats have been recoloured in the past (the colour mind you looked similar to the colour of Autoglym Leather Care...) Why did I go for a car with cream seats?

I'll put up pics later on.

I've never had any problems with Gliptone on numerous seats from different manufacturers. I imagine that it is whiter because it's cleaner than before, just do the rest and it'll be fine. It helps to warm the seat with a hairdryer first before cleaning too.

Whenever I properly clean the linen leather in my car is gets a LOT paler quite quickly. It seems to darken up fairly rapidly over the coming few days and weeks as well; maybe it gets paler as it is wetted by the cleaner?

There is no colour similar to 'linen' to be confused with BTW. The pale grey is very noticably different, and won't be confused with it.

Oli.

Interesting points above. Where I did Gliptone I would describe it as very pale. I guess the Autoglym stuff made it darker (cloth had dark beige/black reside where I wiped off the cleaner) hence why I thought it was colour fasting, but the leather left looks alot better now and feels softer etc.
