Original paint colour ?

Hi,
Does anyone know if speed yellow is a standard colour for the 964 model ,or would it be a car resprayed/special order?
Have seen plenty of 993's and 996's in this colour but apart from a few of the left hand drive RS/RSR models that importers offer have not seen a standard C2 or 4
How could I confirm that this is a genuine car?

Thanks

Steve

Steve,

The colour code on the options sheet should confirm it. The colour code should be 12G for a factory Speed Yellow.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

Where can i find the options sheet to confirm ,or would it be easier to ask Porsche Cars GB if this was a colour option on a 1992 car ?

Steve

Should be on the option sticker under the bonnet and on the matching sticker on page 4 of the Guarantee and Maintenance book.

Ian.

I have a list of standard paint codes 1989-1994 which has 12G Speed Yellow present.
There was also a special order paint code which is 10L that represented Fly Yellow (again 1989-1994)
If you can physically examine the car, there should be a sticker with the paint code in the luggage compartment, under the carpet, on the passenger side inner wing (again it should be 12G or 10L)
