Rear parking sensors weren't working which I traced to both outer rear sensors using this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-Professional-Diagnostic-Scan-Tool-iCarsoft-PORII-POR2-2-YR-WARRANTY-/272091415828?hash=item3f59e98514:g:5msAAOSwhuxZehCy
these were replaced and now all working.
The car also had multiple misfires and camshaft sensor faults so plugs and coils were replaced, every coil was cracked! Also both camshaft sensors were replaced, the car runs so much smoother now.The car has 22 inch wheels and had 285/30's fitted which were too low profile for me so have been replaced with 285/35's.
The front interior light was'nt working on auto, which was traced to a faulty switch which has now been repaired and is working, various interior bulbs were out which have been replaced. The cover/switch for the rear wiper glass opening button was broken, also replaced.
So quite a few niggles that previous owners haven't bothered sorting as is often the case when buying a second hand car.
The car is otherwise in excellent condition with 74k on the clock, this is my first Porsche and I am enjoying the drive and getting to know the car as I go.

Good job sorting that list out!

i was wondering what you did for the rear sensors as my Durametric says I have one of the outer rears intermittently working also.
Did you buy and then have painted or leave it to someone else to do?
just curious as I would like to colour code the replacement before fitting. Also anywhere in particular you recommend for buying the sensor would be great... otherwise I'll just go off my own steam as I think it's standard VW/Audi part.

I bought the sensors off ebay, they are a vag part,no need for colour matching as my car is black, its usually the two outmost rears that fail by all accounts which were the ones that failed on mine, easy enough to access those two, just release the clamp on the tail pipes and angle them down to get your hand in.
