MSV have now announced major changes to Oulton Park Gold Cup for 2022.
The event has reimagined itself in recent years as a celebration of vintage days, with classic single-seaters, GTs, sports cars, and touring cars on track in honour of that heritage. It's a popular social event too, with one of the biggest classic car club displays you'll see in the North West, alongside a themed spread of other retro attractions.
This year, the event remains a three-day event but moves to Friday 29th July to Sunday 31st July.
However, MSV have decided to re-focus the event to display historic cars only including the Porsche Club display area.
**ALL DISPLAY CARS MUST NOW BE YEAR 2000 OR EARLIER**
All later Porsche models will be parked in public parking.
To be clear this decision has NOT been taken by Region 5 or Porsche Club but by MSV, we have discussed in great detail, but MSV are firm on their decision.
In light of this major change, we have reduced the Porsche Club display area to 50 cars to gauge this year’s membership interest.
MSV have now released 50 tickets to the Club, which must be booked through the MSV website only. Tickets vary from £5 for the Saturday to £17.50 for the whole weekend. Members will receive 50% off 1 x vehicle display pass (admits driver), plus 50% off for 1 x passenger admission ticket (the discounted passenger ticket is only available when purchased at same time as the vehicle display pass). Discount is applied at the end of the booking process.
To book a ticket you will need to register on the MSV website, see:
https://shop.msv.com/DisplayCar/Register/OP-22-Goldcup
Once you have created an account, select Display with Club and then select Porsche Club GB from the drop-down menu.
Then select the days you wish to attend. All prices receive a 50% discount at checkout and guarantee infield Porsche Club GB parking. You will then need to fill in your cars details and attach a picture of your Porsche. Then complete the booking. MSV will review the booking and send you an email with a link to book your tickets.
For Sunday attendees there will be a Porsche parade lap at approximately 10am, further details on how to book this will be sent out in early July.
