You are invited.............

FROM THE ORGANISERS:
The evening before the 12th March RS Trackday at Oulton, we have arranged access for an overnight stay at the venue.

To facilitate this we urgently need an indication of numbers who may use this option.

Would you please reply to: tim@easytrack.co.uk with your requirements, by return.

Motor homes parking & camping are acceptable and an electric supply will be available from the garages.

Use of generators is allowed up to 11pm. Showers and toilets will be open through the night (near scrutineering bay) and, IMPORTANTLY:
THE BAR and CATERING FACILITIES WILL BE OPEN IN CHEQUERS RESTAURANT .

Access to the venue will be from 5pm on 11th, gates will be locked at 11pm by the security watchman.

As we said, we need to know numbers asap so please reply to tim@easytrack.co.uk by return.

It will not be possible to add yourself later.

FROM THE TRACK MANAGER:
"We can just open Chequers that night and have a service similar to day time service with prices as per the price board or we can do something more bespoke. How about a curry night? Let me know what you want to do and I'll come up with some prices."

We MUST have committed numbers soon.

NB This is for anybody in the region who wishes to attend, not just track day participants!!

Sorry you're not getting much of a response to this Melv. I'm sure there will be loads of us NW members there on the day.....just looks like not many can make it the night before [&o]

I plan to be there on the day but not the night before. Really enjoyed it last year especially the pax laps.

Alright mate.....where've you been?!! [:)]

Still here, just seem to have been working away every R5 night. Not done enough miles in the Porsche in 2009 but I will put that right this year. Looking forward to Oulton, will see you there, hopefully. Hope you are good and keeping busy.

Steve's right Mel, there will be quite a few from the NW region on the day I'm sure but because it's our 'local', most of us would travel in the morning.

Does anyone remember who the tyre supplier that attend last year. Was it just tyres from manchester ? Any info appreciated and might they be there this year.

Simply tyres were there last year but are no longer trading. Best ask in the 964RS forum who will be doing tyre support this year.

Update from Melv - no tyre support at the track itself.

Thanks for posting on the North Wales Region 6 forum Mel.
Region 6 members are a bit thin on the ground but there are still a few of us active members that do keep in touch.
Anyway thanks for the invite. I'll be along on the day but only as a spectator [;)]

Im hopping to get to this, who do i contact about track time ect ???

The track will open for those booked on at about 9 am, there will be a 1 hour lunch stop and track will close about 5 pm. The circuit gates will be open from around 7 am I would expect. You can park anywhere in the paddock but it's best to leave the spaces nearest the garages free for those going on track (there won't be enough garages for all those taking part).

Hi Steve,

I booked off the day off work, so I will be there with a few friends, hope it going to be as fanstasic day as it was last year !!

Do you know if they will be any "hot laps" again this year in return for charity donations ?

I was very lucky to go out on the track with 9M racing driver Colin Belton in his Cup Car (kermit) last year.

Here's a thread from last year with a few Pics http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=435303

Hi Mike, this trackday sells out within a couple of days of it being announced. It's organized by Melv Spear (964RS forum) and Paul Howells (993RS forum) and is an Easytrack run day (rather than a Porsche club day). The link to the Easytrack booking is shown below:

http://www.easytrack.co.uk/events/allevents.asp

As far as I know it has been fully booked since early December when it was opened for bookings. However, it's currently showing one place available. I've not idea if this is true so you would be best phoning to check rather than trying to book it on-line. Their number is: O1223 969996

Hi Chris, don't know about the hot laps for charity this year but you can still buy a passenger wrist band and hitch a few rides on the day. Most guys are more than happy to give lifts [:)]

Hi Steve, sounds good, been looking forward to going again since last year ! [8D]

Got myself a good SLR camera that shots HD video now, so hoping to get some good shots and sounds...

See you next week [:)]
