Oulton Park Trackday Pics

I'm normally too tight to shell out for these - but as he'd been at Lodge when I got it very wrong I decided to buy them [:D]

Here's a few (low res) ones to whet the appetite of our trackday fraternity.... It may look dry in some of the pics, but I can assure you it wasn't - just a very light rain making the surface extremely slippery [:-] - it got much better once it rained properly towards lunchtime

- yes I know the batwing's missing [:D] - in fact all the engine trays are off. Didn't have time to get them back on after rectifying the oil & power steering leaks caused by my garage's lack of attention to detail []. It does mean you get a good view of the 968 brake ducts [:D]

Nice pics Ed [:)]

I would blame your little excursion on the lack of batwing, obviously the aerodynamics were all screwed up [;)]

LOL - I'd blame it on forgetting how tight the corner is & not slowing down [8|]

I was hoping to get over to Oulton in the afternoon to spectate, but circumstances conspired against me[8|]

Car looks great btw

Great pics [:D] Who says you need a Cayenne to go off road [;)]

Roll on summer for some trackday fun (assuming I've not forgotten how to drive by then).

Well it was only the once Peter...and I did keep going & get it back on the track[:D] My 968 "ears" are still intact as well

It's a great circuit & well worth a trip. There's lots of elevation change, some great corners & I particularly like the fast bit from the second chicane up to druids. Shell oils bend is like nowhere else - you can see how banked it is. I gues on a dry day you could really launch yourself out of it.

It was on my to do list for last year, so will have to do it this year. Shell oils bend looks great in the pictures, never seemed quite that banked in computer games [8|]

G-forces & 3D just don't translate on the computer games do they? - I bet you don't have to lift for Craner either [;)]

Incidentally - I sneaked through the noise test at Oulton - by 20 dB [:D] - bit embarrassing really, to be measured at only 85 dB. I do miss n/a induction noise
