our next Cayenne

we've had the Cayanne S for nearly two years now and done over average miles so time to start thinking about its replacement. [8D]

borrowed a standard Cayanne off the OPC so we could compare. Larry dosn't drive the Cayenne S hard so we are not convinced we need the bigger engined car. have to say i was dissapointed with the Cayenne,on anything but motorway cruise the engine is very noisy. it appears to struggle to get the car moving from stationary, and cos i had to make the engine work harder it appeared to drink a lot more petrol than our S does.I hate to think what it would be like when pulling a fully loaded car trailer[&o].
would like to try a turbo before i make my mind up for sure, but looks like it'll be another S for us.

I am going to change mine Helen but think I will stick with the "S" I just did over 2000 miles down to St. Tropez and back for the "Porsche Paradis" meeting with an average above 20MPG and this included a stage of 500 miles in 7 hours including stops.I hate to think how thirsty the Turbo would be.There are lots of V6 engined Cayennes in France and they seem to go pretty well when rolling, Even with the Td5 Landy towing the boat we can only get 180 miles out of a tankfull wheras it's 300 plus without the lump behind..Stick with the "S" or do the unmentionable and get the Diesel from "The Partner"

I started to feel the same helen when driving the S around town, a bit sluggish from stationary, until I turned off the psm......... It makes a difference, try it.
