OK ladies and gentlemen let's find out who is tops when it comes to keeping our own pride and joys supplied with bits and pieces new and old.

PCGB have asked me to recommend a few establishments who are conspicuous in thier support of the 924, 924S and Turbo

Who better to ask than the good people of the forum?

Porscheshop, Halesowen. They did a lot of phoning around, including OPCs to try to get me a full set of valve collets. In the end they could only scare up nine. They all came in Porsche parts bags.

Porsch-Apart (Simon Butterworth)
All three there, Simon, David and Steve, have always been very helpful and knowledgeable. David is especially good with electrics etc, he saved me a fortune when my control unit failed, diagnosed problem over the phone.

Cheers,

Two come to the top very easily

Bert Gear - Berlyn - in Ilfracombe

and

And Simon Buterworth and gang at Porsche-Apart

Never ever use any one else these days.

Porscheshop at Halesowen have done a great job on my 924S over the years.

They have replaced the shocks and springs, windscreen and body work repairs, belts and a lot of engine work, brakes as well as fixing really annoying things like my lose seat.

Ian, the chap I usually deal with, is extremely friendly and always gives good advice. The main mechanic (I forget his name) knows 924s and 944s inside and out. I have also had free advice over the phone. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
