Our Trip to Spa and The Ring

Just returned from Spa and The Ring with Dad and Greig and have to say it was one of the best times we have had in a while (on Track and off)

We had 2 full days at Spa with RMA, the first day was wet but that did not stop myself and Dad giving it beans on track, I have a small clip of me attempting to hang onto the Cup Car of Jim Geddie (lol, no chance!) but there was only a few seconds in it... the lap was a 3:06 in the wet and getting held up on 2 occasions, had a look at another lap and I managed a 3:04 which I was delighted with... BTW, Geddie crew were such a laugh, great bunch Jim, Glynn and all the Parker crew.

After Spa we headed for the Ring, again myself and Dad were giving it some, my previous best time was around 8:20 a shade behind Dad (Gung-ho does go for it there!) After having the car set up and such a good time at Spa I wanted to really to push on and get a good time... Below is our final lap of the day, Dad has camera in his car and I am in front, I got held up a couple of times which cost me a couple of seconds at most and Dad was held up also, think costing him a good 4/5 seconds... the lap from Bridge to Gantry is 8:15 and we estimate Dad would have been around 8:10 at best and I would have broke the magic 8min mark as I was a good 10 to 15 seconds in front when he comes around the final bend (I was cruising at 40 off the final bend)
