Outdoor car cover for 944 Turbo.

Does anyone have any experience to report on the purchase and use of the above? Am shortly required to forfeit my space in the garage, to accommodate the imminent arrival of my wifes new Ford Streetka!!! [&:] My car will now be parked on a relatively sheltered driveway, but will have to contend with rain, wind, snow and ice, so want a good quality cover to combat the worst of the Scottish weather. [] Had a look on the Classic Additions website, but does anyone have any alternative suggestions?
Any input would be much appreciated.

I recently bought a 968 which came with an outdoor cover, used but still in reasonable shape. I am unlikely to use it, so you can make me an offer if you like.

Bought one for about £150 from Classic Additions. Its ok but already torn over the wings where my wifes cats climb on. Plus the inside of the material is not that soft and I'm pretty sure it's caused a few fine scratches over the tops of the wings- could be cat claws I suppose - cat mittens or a pair of pliers? Basically I use it for protection (still got a slight leak from a targa rubber somewhere) and to keep the car fropm prying eyes if I am away for any length of time.
Halfords now do a range and I bought the cap cover this weekend for £30. It covers the rood and windows and stretches over the engine bay - holds on to the alloys with plastic elesticated hooks. Pretty impressive and easier to put on in a force 9. Pretty sure they do full size ones as well.
Cheers

And so it came to pass that Derek became the proud owner of a slightly second hand cover, and for a bargain price too.

Wonder what the populace of Barnton thought about you trying it on first though?

PS Is the car quieter now with the new gaiter? (sorry ... in joke)

You know what they say - always try before you buy. At least, that's what I told the wife! [:D]
Funny you should say that, the kilt salesman was right!! It is quieter!!!

In my experience as soon as you place a big piece of rubber over you're knob then you're sure to get less vibration[:D] whether that's a good thing or not is another matter:ROFLMAO:

Good on you, Sir! I assume that we are still on the subject of the gearstick, so thanks for giving us a laugh and feel free to post, un-moderated!! [;)]

Well, that's the car parked outside now. [&o]
Judging by the weather forecast for the next few days, I'll quickly get a feel for how good the cover is at holding on in high winds!
Fixed the slight rips adjacent to the vents with duck tape, which looks to be pretty secure, but will certainly be keeping a close eye on things!!
