Do these go the whole length of the drop glass as mine seem to stop about 1/2" short on both sides?
Can someone post a pic up of theirs please.

Ta muchly :)

You've discovered the third guaranteed failure on the Carrera 3.2, shrinking drop-glass scrapers. I also thought it was correct when I bought my car as they all had the same gap - until I saw a freshly restored car on which they fitted snugly.
Yours need replacing, they are reasonably priced from your OPC (or were 6 years ago) and it's a 30 minute job total.

Yes, mine are about 1/2 inch short as well. -- They are the original ones and I assumed they were always like this - now I know better!!

Excellent & thank you :) This has been bugging me for a while now. Will order a pair :)

1) Dip / main beam switch failure (indicator stalk).
2) Graunching noise at steering wheel - dry contact rubbing on horn ring in steering column
Actually, there's another;
3) Steering column top bush breaking up

None of those so far.......... Now I am paranoid....... lol

Don't be paranoid, they're all easy and cheap(ish) to fix, take a long time to materialise and none will sideline your car. And of course, owners of M96 engined Porsche's would kill for that list...

Don't forget the o/s/f wing rust trap where the oil cooler pipes rise ,keep the muck clear and you should be ok

Sage words from the man who stripped his car for repaint only to find he had an almost entirely rust-free bodyshell - even the cynics (mainly me) were astonished by the condition of the body, all the more remarkable as it is his daily driver, used in all conditions. An endoscope proved that the fine condition of the 'shell wasn't only skin-deep.

Hi Kevin

When I replaced mine the new one's were too long and had to be cut down at an angle both ends

I'm guessing you were supplied Targa scrapers - and your car is a coupe..?
Targa rubbers are longer.

Well, I have just fitted the one's that arrived today from Design 911. What an easy job. 5 mins per side & they are perfect. No cutting/trimming needed :)
Remember trying to fit these to my old MK1 RS2000...... Nightmare job to get right.
As long as all jobs on the 911 are this easy then, Happy days ;)
