Oval dash bulbs

There are also about 15 captive 1.5w bulbs in little holders for the indicator light, high beam etc etc

Capless means they have no bayonet or screw cap, they are just a glass piece with a flattened end and the wires poking out and bent over. They push-fit into a holder.

Just bought a couple like that for the 928 from Halfords. Maybe the same as is used in the 944?
Bosch 12V 1.2W Bulb type 286 £1.99 (the Halfords own make ones were green coloured and £1.49 IIRC; maybe they were out of clear ones).

The 3 large capless ones are 2watt..
But i replaced mine with 3 watt ones....that was 18 months ago + there still great.....
