Oval Dash Instrument Repair

Hi Folks,
The instrument binnacle on my 944 is in need of repair and checks as the odo and trip don't work and it also looks like the fuel gauge is off too (after checking the sender). There may also be a bad earth in there as the handbrake and oil pressure warning lights flicker when the car is running (though this may be something else). As well as all this, the illumination is dreadful.

I see from previous threads on here that Reap Automotive would be a good bet (I've emailed for a quote), however is there anywhere else ? Googling I see there is Cluster Repairs UK, however looking at feedback from customers it appears a little checkered !

I got a full cluster for about 40 quid on eBay years ago as my temp gauge used to ping sky high for no reason. It turned out be the rugby ball connectors needing cleaned. Might still have it but I'm sure I've used some of it over the years. It's a 180mph speedo though, yours will be 160mph I think.

Yeah, mine is a 160 mph one. I'll pull it out to take a look to see if there is anything obvious up with it, though from what I've seen online about repairing the odo I think I'd rather leave that to someone else with more patience, competence and good eyesight !
