Over fuelling issue?

Hi

I have had numerous issues with the car recently, so as part of the general diagnosis I am replacing several items in methodical way. This morning I replaced the spark plugs with brand new ones since the previous ones where incredibly sooty.

Within 20 minutes they went from brand new to the black below. What would be causing this?

Eventually the idle gets worse and the she dies, and initially she is a little difficult to start, but then in 5 minutes shes off again!!!.

I would be looking first at fuel pressure regulator a d damper. Eliminate those then go from there.

FPR would be first guess. Pull off the vac line and smell - if fuel, certainly faulty but even if not could be bad.

If it runs fine cold then cuts out when warm DME temp sensor in the cylinder head repalcement about £15
