overly bright digitalk clock

Hi,

I've noticed something strange today in my 996.

The digital clock is suddenly a lot brighter than the other digital readouts... If I adjust the brightness up and down with the lights on then it does darken or brighten in line with the other displays.

But it is almost like its 300% brighter than the digital speedo and mileage display. I just noticed it today, so I think its just happened. Even the backlight is brightly lit rather than the somber black on the rest.

Anyone got any ideas?
