Overseas radio in the car

OK.. this might be keeping taking the "keep it German" thing too far, but I've taken to listening to a local German radio station online, but most of my listening time is in the car. I'm out of touch with what facilities are available on modern head units - I just about use MP3s recorded onto a CD, and that is the limit of my technological ability! Is the facility available to tune into the interweb thingy now?

I figure it might just be of value to some-one other than me - i.e., one of the many going to the Classic might want to keep up-to-date with events via Little Snoring Radio, that type of thing...

Basicly - no
well maybe with internet phone connected to Mp3 in head unit
But I think you should be more worried about why you feel the need to listern to German local radio!

Thanks, that is what I feared...

I figured it might help me learn the language. I'm getting bored with the five "teach yourself German" CDs.

Danke.

No loss at the moment, I'm sure its only full of football talk at the moment anyway!

Record it on to your pc as an mp3 - burn it to a CD - wont matter if its not live.

Download free program Audacity is good and quite easy and free (you will also need Lame - yes really) but all the instructions are there.

Ah the glory days of listening to far flung radio stations on Long Wave, guess that's not what you mean but there may be some sort of German programming available on DAB digital radio for which you can get a car unit. Or to try it rather than going the full hog I believe you can get a DAB tuner that transmits via FM to your car radio for about £70. Won't be the best quality but hey ho just for experimenting it's probably good enough.

Have a look at what PodCasts are available from iTunes you could download these to your Mp3 player and use it via the car stereo.
