Owners manual and servicing query

Hi All

I've just bought an 03 Boxster S. Absolutely love the car but I have a couple of questions which I wondered if someone on here could help with?

Firstly, the owner's manual had been lost for my car. I've seen replacement ones on porscheshop.co.uk but these appear not to come with the leather holder etc. Does anyone know where I can get the full pack? There's nothing on ebay at the moment.

Secondly, the car has a full Porsche service history which I'd like to maintain. Are there any drawbacks to getting the annual service done at an OPC but getting repairs done at an independant?

Please private mail me and I'll email you the pdf version for the 03; it is the US version but is very similar to my UK paper version i.e. just in case you want to have a glance right now.

Your service book only logs services, brake fluid change, etc so doing those at the OPC will keep your service book up to date as you are intending. A lot of the owners do their own minor repairs, brake pad, disc change, etc. As long as official Porsche parts are used then as far as I understand it will be covered under the extended Porsche warranty too. A good reputable independent would propably put a lot more effort on repairs anyway and you will save the high OPC labour cost.

If you wait for a little while, the previous owner, who sold you the car, will probably put it on ebay soon [;)][:D]

You should be able to order this from the OPC but I'm sure it will cost quite a bit...
 
If it helps the manual has the numbers WKD 986 020 03 and the cover is not leather its 100% PVC and Nylon made in China so it should not be too expensive. (possibly famous last words here though!)
 
WKD 986 020 03 is £14.23 inc VAT from an OPC.

Edit: The PET also lists a "Direct Entry Quick Reference Guide" - WKD 986 920 03 at £5.11.
