Oxygen sensor

I've recently had a sports pre-silencer and main back box installed. I noticed on the pre-silencer that the oxygen sensor isn't installed. Should it be? I'm sure they would have said something last time I had it serviced if it was an issue, but it seems a bit odd that nothings connected..

Thanks!

A lamda senser would only have been fitted if a cat had been fitted at the factory ,for example if it was German model. When we remove a cat you still have to fit the Lamda ,this will not affect the running of the car as the Lamda is before the cat and the ECU won't recognize that the cat has been removed. The reason the pre silencer you have fitted is made to accept the Lamda is so it can do both models of car and you blank it off if you don't have the senser and Dansk is a German make.

Hope this makes sense.

That's great - thanks for your help. I've got another query though if anyone can help.. I had the sports pre-silencer installed, but after 30 mins of driving around the bung for the oxygen sensor hole must have and fallen out (either that or it got lost at the garage). Sound wise it's fine, but I'm worried about what must be a jet of very hot exhaust gas blowing vertically up into the wheel arch area.. Any ideas if it may be an issue?

Thanks!

I would definitely block the hole as you will also be sucking air in on the over run.The size is 18mm by 1.5mm pitch,if you have trouble finding one we have them in stock.
