Did anyone else catch the reporting this lunch-time of the sentencing of the turbo driver caught doing 172mph? Quite a few faux pas but most notably:

". . just to give you some idea of just how fast that is it's about 3 miles every second" - we wish[:D]

I am afraid that we will always be vilified, especially by the dont wants/ have not so no one else should brigade.

This is open season for them to make up what they want and have it stick in the minds of the Public

In the case of this guy however a few interesting "Facts" if Sky is rpeorting honestly - it wasn't his car, he took it without persmission from the hire company he worked for ie stole it, The Police report stated the car took 685 meters to stop and the car "wobbled" consistently under breaking. This was also an A road not motorway, with turnings.

If this is true (big if I know) it would imply he stole a car he had no experience of driving high prformance vehicles and drove it flat out down a dual carriageway - ie he wan't in control and didn't know what he was doiung and therefore was a complete hasard on the road. And as a by product giving the rest of us a bad name.

I wonder if we'll ever really find out what happend

Tom, I think its all correct !!

Especially the bit about them wobbling under heavy braking on new tyres...[:'(]
