Anyone any experience of these tyres? They are the choice of a local tyre fitter recommended to me by someone who I trust, but these tyres get some VERY mixed reviews.
Your opinions would be most gratefully recieved.

Hi Kevin,

I' ve been driving P zero Rosso' s for a year now, haven' t found any problem with them so far. Doing a Track day on them tomorrow, I will give you another report when I get back.

Hi Ken,

Thats just what I' m looking for, I' ve had some mixed reports from other users, but the types of car are varied, it therefore makes choice just that little bit harder.

Thanks
and see you on June 2nd?

Yes we will be there, I have booked a table for myself and lady friend, so we can eat first. The whole evening is at very slow place, typical Suffolk County.
Address again http://www.grangehotel.activehotels.com/THE

The Grange Hotel lies in the heart of Suffolk and is an attractive Tudor style country house hotel. The hotel is set in its own secluded gardens amidst open countryside and offers a warm, friendly and relaxed atmospher We have five chefs preparing fresh food for the Garden Restaurant and the more formal Adam Room. Both restaurants offer superb a la carte lunches and dinners and are complemented by wine from an award winning list.

Cheers
Ken

I got a set of P Zero Rossos fitted about a month or so ago....I didn' t set out to get them,I had intended getting Bridgestone S02' s as I had very good reports but when I got to the tyre company they had sold the last lot[:(]

Anyway, they persuaded me that the P Zero' s would be the best bet and in fact the fitter kept going on and on about some report he had read in " Car" magazine about their characteristics and how they were the " ideal" all round tyre for performance cars.

Gotta tell ya....I luv em

They stick like brown stuff to a blanket and seem to give a much smoother reide than the previous Yoko' s

Try them...I think you' ll like

Back from a very good session at Goodwood. Weather superb, real Glorious Goodwood.
The P zero Rosso' s were fine; I did in all 300 plus miles today, including fast driving to and from the circuit. I left Colchester at 5.30 this morning so the road were quite traffic free.

Heard this today: >
[:D]You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today.
They left a little note on the windscreen. It said, ' Parking Fine.'
So that was nice.[:D]

Hi Ken, and MH,
Thanks for the feedback, guess I' ll be going this route in a month or so, Tyre Tech reckon about ÂŁ500 or so for the set, so that very competitive IMHO.

Kevin

Ken,
Glad you enjoyed your day at Goodwood.[:D]
' Parking Fine' .... does that mean you are still stopping at the chicane to ask for directions after each lap!!!! [&:]
Ought to know your way around Goodwood by now!
See you soon.[;)]

You wont be disappointed ride and grip, wet or dry better than most ,running 993 rs and gt2 ,wear pretty good ,track days aim for 30 psi all round hot ,probably start at 23 rears /24.5 fronts medium temp weather...........not to be compared with Corsa or Michelin Cup Sport, different ball game ,but nothing else even close for all round [road/ track day] use .Have nt had any new Michelin Pilote Sport yet ??As Pirrelli always worked very closely with Porsche on developing tyres suitable for our cars cant hurt !
Hopefully out June 4th Goodwood, rs if u want to feel a half worn set

Hi Vic,

Thanks for the offer, can' t make the date ,but thank you anyway.

Guess it' s raid the piggy bank time again.........P Zero Rosso' s here we come.

Kevin

Debs,
Have you done any Performance driving or a Track day on your P Zero Rosso' s yet. Would be nice to hear what you have been up to.

BTW Putting faces to " Titanic names" , I met up with Kevin and Giles + GF last evening. But thinking about it, you now seem like an old friend, but we haven' t met in person yet. I know your C4 much better.

Picture of Kevin' s car at the Suffolk Region Jaguar Drivers Club , Guest Concours last evening. My C2 in the foreground.

Helen, Concours can be fun and very social, Don' t give in !!

Hi Ken,

Thanks for a pleasant evening, glad to have met you again, and of course we shall have to do this sort of thing again.
Lovely evening, delightful company and pleasant weather to boot.

Hello everyone,

could anybody comment -out of personal experience- on whether the P zero Rosso' s are quieter than So2' s - I have no doubts as to the P zero' s wet/dry grip but I personally find the SO2' s (the rears in particular) very noisy-especially on certain types of tarmac.

Thanks and best regards

Emilios

Ive read a LOT of threads here and on Rennlist related to tyre choice and I can only draw one conclusion.....

When you compare the likes of S02' s Rossos, Yoko' s et al then it comes down to personal preference and " feeling" .

My own experience is that the Rosso' s are excellent, smoother and much queiter than the previous tyres.

I guess all of these manufacturers spend millions on R and D to produce good products and so the base functionality of all of them will be good for the purpose which then leaves it to us lot to make a choice based upon prefernce.

Ill tell you one annoying think about these Rooso' s though................[]

I HATE the red logo' s !!!!
