PA 1000 Thatcham rating

After reading some rennlist forum posts stating that the PA1000 was not Thatcham rated, I decided to look on the internet.

I downloaded a pdf document from Thatcham dated March 2005 Issue 49 and the PA1000 system is listed as CAT 1, so I wonder why so many assumed that it was
not ?

having looked at the document closely........... you can see it refers to the Pa1000 system as applied to Porsche cars 98 onwards. The system as applied to 964's is out of date.

Not sure on that,

the fist line All Porsche Cars All
and next line is BOXSTER 98-on

I had one retro fitted to my 944 when I imported it in '99. So far, all the insurance companies I've used have recognised it as cat1.
