PA2000 alarm

Hi guys, just purchased a 993 tt and it is truly a great car and in my opinion the best shape of 911 ever made. Performance also is amazing, quite a jump up from my previous car (968).

The reason for the post however, the car is fitted with a PA2000 alarm but only came with one key and one remote fob. There is no red master key with the car. How easy and what are the costs likely to be of getting a spare key and remote made up?

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Many thanks
G

Similar situation when I got my car (although PA1000) except previous owner said the red master was broken (and it was partly crushed). Hamilton and Palmer (I think their contact details in FAQ area) told me no choice but to pay about £100 for new mother board in alarm unit (comes with new red master).

Fortunately I tried new battery! plus H&P talked be through programming process (the printed instructions are not quite right) and the crushed red master works fine if you know how!

But sounds like you will need a new mother board.[]

PA2000 does not have a red master .....not sure of costs for additional fob though.

They supplied me with a spare fob last year for my PA2000, think it was approx £20. The programing was interesting! Good luck.

Thanks guys, I spoke to the people you suggested and they were very helpful. Am I likely to have problems programming the fob ?

Hopefully should be a picture of the new wheels attached to this post......

That's a great looking car, congratulations. Really hope you enjoy the beast.

The fob comes with a sheet of detailed instructions where you have to do lots of key turning & fob pressing. Not really difficult but took some time to do it all within so many seconds, from memory.

let me know if you have a problem with the programming. I have the original instruction booklet for mine.

Regards
