Pad differences

I've not been happy with the pagid pads on my cabs brakes now for some time so i'm going to change them.I have the standard 4 piston calipers on mine but am i right in thinking that pads from 944 turbos and 928's that have 4-pots will also fit the s2 or are they different?

Early 944 Turbos (220 cars) and 944 S2 pads are the same - they are the same front and rear as well in fact. Some 928 may be the same, but some 928s had later Turbo style calipers which use different pads and others used Big Blacks. At a guess 928 S and S2 may be the same, but that is just a guess.

944cabby,

As i've said on another post I have a complete set of early turbo/S2 Mintex pads (i.e. front and rear) which were delivered in error with my brake upgrade kit and seeing thought the company I bought the kit off is based in the states I can't be bothered to go to the extent of posting them back there and get them to send me the correct pads. They cost me $85 plus a bit for shipping so you can have them for £50 plus postage. The product code (i think it's the product code) is MDB 1456. I don't know much about Mintex pads so can't tell you if that is their version of std pads or some upgrade sports pad but there are alot of people running Mintex pads and i've read some pretty good reports about them.

What Pagid pads have you got? I was considering Pagid for my new brakes.

MDB 1456 are Mintex 1144 compound pads for early Turbo/944S2 and F355. I've used 1144's on various cars and have always been impressed for fast road / occasional track use. Bit squealy and dusty though.

Justin.
