Pad wear warning light - dont need it........

Hilux

New member
On the road I use Textar pads and on track PF pads as I have a set of track D90`s (knackered by the PF pads) so I dont get the Cup 1`s damaged.

In swapping/installing the pads and their wear sensors the sensors always break and as I maintain the car fastidiously I`d notice the pad wear anyway so dont need them. The back pads are standard (with sensors) as they do the same job on road and track with Textar pads.

The pad wear light is on (of course) due to the front wear sensors missing so how do I turn it off?

1) Join the wires together?
2) Jump the circuit somewhere?
3) Black tape on the dash light?

The last resort is black tape so thanks in advance for proper advice [;)]

1) Join the wires together?

The light illuminates when one of the pads get so low it wears through the wire and breaks the circuit. If you snip off the sensors and just twist the wires together the light will never come on. It's what I do as well.

Thanks chaps, appreciate the response.....................................

............................now where are my wire cutters [;)]
