Paint code label

Looking at a 1989 3.2 Carrera as my first venture into the world of Porsche. The one I have seen has the paint code label stuck on the underside of the bonnet lid. The 'bible' according to Peter Morgan says it should be next to the VIN plate. Any thoughts? Also, car has been maintained by Zentrum (Nottingham) - anybody any experience here? Thanks.

The Vehicle Identification Label (VIL) should appear in the Guarantee & Maintenance book and under the bonnet. Both should be the same.
The label is on the underside of the bonnet is in the middle.
The Vin Number is on the left hand side I think.

I have my Carrera 3.0 maintained there. I think of them as a sympathetic independant service point and they are genuinly concerned about getting things right.

Also, I can vouch they are great concerning mechanical repairs/bodywork/setting the car up and valeting. My 911 never ran better.

Helen uses them also but I think she has had bigger bills then moi [;)]

Ah and for the record, I dont have an affiliation with Zentrum![:D]
