At the moment im trying to decide what red my 1977 924. Its not guards red for sure. Thinking either Mars Red (L31b) or L30c which mangola red??? HELP

Does it not have the little "options sticker" in the boot (usually on the back panel if I am not mistaken) I believe that Has the paint code on it.

'76, '77 and '78 models years used Mars Red assuming its original paint. However being so old I would have a paint supplier colour match it as red fades so easily. Assuming no one resprayed it over the last 35 years with a coat of Guards Red which wasn't introduced until '79 model year. Malaga Red was introduced in '78. http://www.werk924.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=32

The paint code on my '79 is near where the earth strap for the battery grounds under the bonnet - you might want to check there. If its any sort of red and original, different panels will have faded to different shades.

Tried posting a pic but tablet wont let me lol. Ive looked for the sticker before but nae luck. It has a orange kinda tinge to it but not faded

Have you read the "PORSCHE 924 FAQ - READ THIS FIRST" thread on this forum? There is a full list on there [:)]
