Agreed - check the inside of the sills first to see how advanced it is.ORIGINAL: Fen Sorry to say, but surface rust doesn't really happen on the sills of these cars (unless it has had paint blasted off somehow). It will almost certainly be corroding through from the inside. By all means give it a go, but I suspect if you take a wire brush to it it will turn into lace.
