Hello all
Most of you who know my car will be amazed to hear that it is no longer the rat look black machine with bits of beige it has been for about 6 years. Terry Allen has got hold of it and done a grand job of turning it back to its original colour of beige (oxford) grey. The car is still in a load of bits (something to do over the winter), the engine is being rebuilt again[8|] , this time by Andy Prill so should be top notch. Below are a few pics of the 12 sitting at Terry's just having had its top coat, let me know what you think of the colour I'm of opinion is quite nice[:D].

Looks like a lovely job. Did you not fancy the black then? Guess the colour suits the age of the car also. Would love to see it finished.

wow fantastic... very jealous.
Can't wait to see it in the flesh, should be a peach, bet you're glad you never lost faith and sold it!

didn't fancy black thought the orignal colour would be nice, wasn't sure as I have not seen a car in beige grey so had to take a gamble.......think its turn out well[;)]

Gav, defo glad I didn't sell it, role on summer 2008!

now I know what Terry your talking about as I have seen the pictures yep he will have done a good job..

Agreed . . . great colour.

Probably a rude question, but how much did the job cost roughly . . . much work needed to the shell? Ignore if you want.

Not had the full bill yet but will be in th region of 6-7K (not to bad for a bare metal colour change), the shell was very solid with only a small amount of rust between the front wings and the body. Also need some work around the front to dress a poor old repair conducted before I got the car. The only other work was to remove 4 or 5 dents around the body and sort out a big ding in the deck lid...all in all not to much, could have been much worst![;)]

I am sure you are all getting fed up of pics of my car but its never looked so clean so here are a few more of the big event of getting it home. I have started to fit it back up with the lights, badges etc and its looks better with ever bit I add.[:D]

I couldn't find a bigger truck, had a few issues at Terry's tuning the thing round so he could get on his way, even bigger problems at the other end unloading in my tight new housing estate[8|]

Plan is to get it all back together and the engine run in ready for the classic Le Mans hot dog meet.[:)]

Last pic......for a while, until I have fitted it all up, this was the first time I had seen the car in natrual light, changes the colour a lot...for the better I think.[;)]
