Painting belt covering?

Im going to paint the cam cover hopefully sometime this week and was looking at doing the same to the belt cover as thats the same horrid beige colour too. Is it a simple job to remove? Has anyone done anything like it or should i just leave it be?

Cheers

I'm presuming you mean the top of the distributor housing as I have never seen the belt covers in anything other than black. I have seen the beige distributor housing painted silver to match a new cam cover but I have no idea how it comes off [&:]

That must be it, i assumed it hid the pulley bit for the cam, i recalled seeing it on the PET a while ago. I've tried a few searches but nothing has come up yet, not even a mention of it!
