Panamera 2015 Parcel Shelf

Hey Peeps,

Hope you’re all safe and well.


I‘m a newbie to the club and Porsche and have a lovely 2015 Panamera.

However, it came without a parcel shelf! Therefore, I went onto eBay and purchased a traditional parcel shelf that is for this model and year.

I received it today and rather disappointingly it doesn’t fit! Am I missing a part that connects the parcel shelf to the car, or is my car specifically designed for the pullout cover only?

Does tailgate have recesses in it for the pullout cover to attach?

I stand to be corrected, but I think that cars supplied to different markets had different parcel shelves as original equipment My former 970 4s had the ’roller shutter’ style as original UK equipment. The US spec cars had a parcel shelf.

In case you are not familiar with the ‘roller shutter‘ style, if it is disconnected from the rear tale gate it retracts neatly into the removable beam that provides the main structural support for the top of the rear seats.

Are you quite sure you don’t have a ’roller shutter’ currently retracted into the removable seat beam and all it requires is to be reattached to the recesses in the rear tail gate?

Just saw the photo you sent. Is the recess with the round stud on the internal sidewall of the car, both sides? If so, this is where the main structural beam that supports the rear seats (and into which the ’roller shutter’ retracts) that I spoke of earlier attaches.

Looking at you ebay link, I am pretty sure this is exactly what what you need. It looks to be the beam I have been referring to and from what I can make out from the photos it has the retractable ‘roller shutter’ suitable for your car. It will attach to the mounting points you photographed earlier with no other parts being required.


Suggest you check with the seller this is as I describe it before you buy.


I don’t know if you can use your parcel shelf with it. Anyways you can used the roller shutter instead if you are happy with and as comes as standard with most other UK cars.

As my neighbour said, now I have a Porsche, you just have to assume it’s the expensive option, ??

I’ll see if I can return the regular parcel shelf and go for the one with the roller blind.

Hi, that’s a fixed luggage compartment cover (an expensive optional extra which my car has and I wish it didn’t). Also known as a removable luggage compartment cover.
You have a retractable luggage compartment cover (which should be much more common. Try one of the Porsche dismantlers - there are a few around they may have one. )
Just make sure you get the correct one. Some have a roller blind in them (again an option - you would have them in the rear doors if your car has that option, and a button by the gearstick for you raise/lower them)
