Panamera Turbo S

Hi All, first time in the forum. I'm on my 4th Porsche having recently purchased a 15 plate Panamera Turbo S. It's a beauty and i love it! However a couple of issues that concern me and i would appreciate advice on. The first is the dreadful 'Tramping' noise and worrying graunching and juddering when on any lock at slow speeds. The dealer tells me its perfectly normal and is because of the 'Ackerman' effect?! Its my fourth Porsche, including 3 Panameras and i've never experienced it before. Is it really normal to experience this unusual characteristic so manifestly?
The other issue i have is that my Phone contacts won't sync beyond 'R', anyone cast any light on why i can't sync all contacts? My other Porsches were no problem.
Appreciate any help.
Cheers
Paul

I have a Panamera Turbo 2012 bought it from new and is perfectly normal for the front wheels to make a funny jumping noise on full lock at slow speed, that’s the reason it handled so well, this is absolutely normal.
PS good choice of car, I have no issues with mine for the last 5 years. Only had to do the normal service twice and change the front brake pads. No other issues??

Hi
I have a 2012 GTS mine does the same the dealer is right what they say ,when on full lock the wheels can not turn as normal so they jump. The downside of this is it scrubbs the sides of tyres it’s also worse this time of year with the cold.
Had my car now for over thre years I have extended the warranty with Porsche had a few surspention problems, they seem to have to strip seats out on a couple of occasions ,that’s the dealerships for you.
I have had the pads and discs changed not long ago at a local garage that repair Porsche’s I don’t like paying dealership prices.
I have a 996 4S which I have had out last couple of days it been about 6 weeks since i have driven it
so small compared to the pan am.
enjoy your new car

Hi Paul.

I bought a new Pananera 4 in March. Mine also suffers the same juddering front wheels when on full lock, especially in colder weather. My 991.1 C2 did the same.

Enjoy your Turbo S and Happy New Year!

Cheers,

Simon
