Park Assist fault

The park assist on my car is playing up at the moment. When I put the car into reverse (its a tiptronic by the way) it sometimes (but not always) gives a deep lound beeping sound that doesn't stop. It is independent to how far you are away from anything. Its also a different noise to the continuous beep that you get when you are about a foot away from something - a deeper louder beep.

I tried taking off the bumper and seeing if there are any obvious loose connections. I did find that when I disconnected the main plug behind the bumper that connects to the sensors that it made the same noise, so I am thinking it must mean that there is either a dodgy connection somewhere or one of the sensors is starting to die.

Am thinking about buying one replacement sensor (assuming you don't have to but 4!) and swapping it one by one with the current ones until it fixes it.

Any other ideas before I do this though?

Cheers
Greg

I don't know if the Durametric covers Park Assist. It isn't shown on the Durametric site. I guess the only way to find out is to plug it in and see. If not, you need someone with a PST2 or PIWIS tester.
