Parking Sensor

Can anyone recommend a relaible parking sensor installation. for a Boxster.

Currently have a "hidden" system from Parking Dynamics that is wholly unrelaible and needs to be changed.

I take it that the type you have is hidden behind the bumper with nothing visible, I've heard they are not much good but haven't heard complaints on the types fitted through the bumper.

Having the Porsche option fitted I can recommend that and you could see if this is available as a retro fit or maybe check out those on ebay.

Thanks - I'll try Ebay first, and then spread search.

You are correct - the one fitted is hidden behind the bumper - lots of problems - not recommended

I'd try Ebay. Got mine off there £19 and fitting is easy. 4 sensors and drill bit included. They are available in lots of colours and work a treat. Thinking of getting a set for my wife's Boxster as cheaper than scraping the bumper. Only problem I had with the buzzer was tracing the wiring through engine bay on my 911 but should be easier on Boxster. Eventually located buzzer in rear door panel and found that to be ideal. On my previous Boxster I fitted a camera just above the number plate and, as it was wireless, a lot easier to fit. That only cost about £25 and I found it great to use although on a sunny day, the picture wasn't that easy to see on the tiny sreen provided, but you can use a rear view mirror which doubles as a monitor. Many thanks for that - I have bought one from eBay.
Hadn't thought about the rear camera though - I'll have a look for that as well.
