Parking up for Winter - Brrrrrr!!

Any suggestions about how best to keep my car tucked up for winter? I drive it most weekends now and keep it in the garage with battery conditioner connected.

With the weather turning I wont be driving it as much so would appreciate any advice to help keep it in tip-top condition for those odd sunny winter days.

Just wait for the snow -I had SO much fun with my S2 a few years ago.....[;)]

mine spent 4 hard winters in Sweden, driven every day come rain shine or 6" of snow! a good set of winter tyres, 2 bags of sand/cement in the boot, and a careful driving attitude will get you through anything. of course you can have a shed load of fun when there's space too! In fact I actually bought a Jeep grand Cherokee to go over there after I'd heard about the state of the winters, but sold it after the first winter and a few months of driving the 944 in snow.

Then again, if it's a weekend summer motor, then why risk it? there's too many stories of insurance companies writing them off for the slightest ding......

I tend to agree with Mike. There seems to be a flurry of posts against most models around Feb time from people who have taken their cars out of winter storage and are faced with a multitude of problems they previously didn't have. I've recently been driving mine alot more as we've had to do without a 2nd car for a few months and it feels 10 times better with all the little intermittent annoyances I once suffered now a thing of the past. I now make a point of driving my 944 as much as possible as long as I know I wont be parking it anywhere dodgy or I know the weather is going to be really bad. Just have a hosepipe handy for those days that salt is around so you can give the underside a good regular hosing down.
