Got it back, Pagid brake pads, braided brake lines, progressive springs, geo setup, exhaust + remap.

Have not tested all this yet, only central London driving.

Overall the car feels much better planted, sharper steering, less rubbery suspensions but no real deterioration in ride quality. The exhaust / ecu combo is fantastic, linear, feels a bit more powerful but not hugely so, much better "cultured" forward noise although volume is lower than my PSE. The brakes' are more progressive and have a better feel. As to actual stopping power short of creating a "smashing" scene in London, cannot really say.

2 problems: I did not realise the car would sit 25mm lower, awful for speed bumps, in fact it now scrapes everything. The brakes do squeal also.

11 July Silverstone if you want a circuit based report, but truly, I do not know how much closer I am to a junior GT3, but will never look back.
 
Hope you enjoy the car John. Do you think Parr did a good job for you. How much has the remap affected the car? Also interested in your views on warranty issues.
I will be at Silverstone on the 11th July so if you wanted a ride in a Turbo wearing Michelin Sport Cups to compare performance you would be welcome
 
With the progressive rate springs does that mean that PASM is disconnected? Also were they specific as to what was altered in the geometry setup?
Lastly dare one mention cost??

Parr were very good, although there is something loose somewhere. Basically some of the guys are racers, and know far more than I ever would. They also run some of the Cup cars, that is enough for me.
The difficulty with stating anything about the remap is to separate it from the exhaust mods: does the engine breath better due to the exhaust or is the remap the most important piece here? All in all, the combination for me is much better. There is a feeling of a linear power that builds up rather than stepping. The noise builds into a crescendo in a linear fashion rather than my PSE on/off at around 4000rpms.
Warranty wise I am over the 2 years but have taken out the extended warranty. The reality is that the extended warranty is probably through a specialist which will not accept much leniency compared to Porsche GB.

Regarding progressive spring, after hitting pretty much EVERY speed bump on sight, I would think twice about them. PASM should still be connected but I did not try, will revert tomorrow with a definite answer. Parr has all the answers.

Lastly geo wise, Parr would not tell! Plainly camber is added, the standard car scrubs it front tyre walls pretty badly on circuits. Probably some toe in somewhere but will have to check tyre wear to detect things.

If you want such a car, get the -20mm LSD, otherwise I would suggest making sure you are ok with -35mm (PASM is -10, I believe these springs drop the car by 25mm) or something of that order.

Thanks John very interesting. At Siverstone I will be in my Cobalt Blue Turbo. I will be in a garage at the far end of the pits (towards exit) as the ones in the centre of the pits get too crowded. Hope to see some more 997s there to compare notes
 
Fascinating! I'm not sure that I would be able to get out of my drive at -25mm as I already have my inside front wheel off the tarmac with the standard set up!
Any mention of corner weighting or is that a given?

Parr do not specify what they do exactly to the suspensions, which is stupid in my view, but there you have it. I am pretty sure if you went to them with more knowledge than I currently have, you should get something out of them.
