Parrot 9200 into CDR21 head unit

Hi,

I want to fit a Parrot 9200 into my 98 996 which has upgraded speakers and a CDR21 head unit so that I can use my iPhone for calls and music.

Has anyone done something similar?

Do I need an adapter cable or is it a straightforward plug and play job?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Do you have the M490 option sound package? If so, the amplifier is connected to the line outs of the CDR. The snag is that they are not RCA connectors, so it won't be plug & play. I think you will need to do a bit of improvisation. I know Autoleads make an adapter to go onto the loom in the car. They might also make a plug to go into the back of the CDR.

If you don't have M490, it should be pretty simple, as the speaker plugs are standard ISO plugs & sockets.

yes, M490 is present Richard so a little bit bitter sweet :p (see below)

I'll check out that site.

I've already emailed Parrot so whatever I find out I'll post back here for others but if anyone knows more please let me know.

Here are the connections between the radio and the amplifier. They connect to the yellow plug shown. You can see that the ground connections of the line outputs are connected together in the loom. The blue and green plugs are for the CD changer.
