Hi

I'm looking for the part number for the rear bumper mounting.
The pet version I have only has the U.S. version which is like a small shock absorber that p/no is 964-505-016-00. I need the UK one which doesn't shock absorb!

Or, if anyones got one laying around which isn't needed let me know please.

Thanks

Rob

Rob.

On the PET I have (RoW) it has two alternative part numbers for that bit

964-505-016-00 Impact absorber (same number as you have for US version)
964-505-018-00 Impact pipe

Hope that helps although it's not a definitive answer (but I think you want the second one - impact pipe).

Ian.

Anyone know the PET ref for glass for front indicators. It should be white but mine is cream colour.

Rob, I'm not sure if it's the same part as you're after but I've just bought a rear bumper support bar for the left side of my car. It's sort of Y shaped and attaches to two points on the bumper and one point on the body. It sits next to the wheel arch. Cost me about 35 quid after PCGB discount from local OPC parts counter. The guys on the parts counter were really helpful and pulled up the drawing on PET after crawling under the other side of the car to identify what we were looking for.

It looks to me that these are very prone to rusting, especially considering the age of our cars, so they commonly need replacing.

Thanks Steve, I think I know the bit you've got.

Ian was right, the bit I need is called the impact pipe and after discount cost £50.
Mine's disintegrated, lives directly in line with the cat and attaches to the back of the bumper support and chassis.

Yes, after your description, I 've seen that one too.

When I put my new side bumper bar on, I'm going to give it a good smearing with grease to make sure it lasts for the next 17 years of the car's life[:D]
